|As the year is quickly coming to a end now, I thought I would make a blog to discuss about how my life has been over the past year and more or less to reflect upon the future ahead of me on RuneZone, on Runescape and IRL too. I suppose this could also be considered a update about how I've been doing in general really lol.
2014 has perhaps been the most surprising year I've had in quite some time to be honest with you. It's been a year filled with a lot of up's and downs, although It's also been a year that I've learned a lot about myself and I feel like I have fully grown and developed as a individual this year. I feel like I've probably become a better person; I'm still a pain at times and quite annoying sometimes though.
Let's talk about Runescape first though! This year has been pretty eventful for me in regards to my xp gaining and the progress I have made over the past few months too. One of the major things I'm particularly proud of the most is as some of you Zoners may know, I'm currently working on 120 Divination as it's perhaps my most favorite skill on Runescape; at first, I didn't particularly plan on working on it and was still training it after 99 purely for fun, but once the master capes were released it provides me a lot of motivation to go for it. One of the major things I've been doing for my Divination gains is Guthix Cache, a Divination D&D every 3 hours where you can gain up to 70k (depending on your level) and a 20 min boost if you get full points which allows you to deposit all your energies into rift all at once. I will probably make a guide for anyone who is interested in knowing how to play it efficiently for the best rewards sometime in the future. This is how much xp I have so far.
I certainly hope to achieve 120 Divination sometime in Summer next year, if I continue to make the steady progress that I've been making lately, although it is possible to have sometime in May if I have so much free time in College.
As well as that, I've also progressed so much in terms of my overall levels. I managed to gain two 99's in Fletching and Fishing. I haven't particularly focused too much of my time on working on 99's, I've more or less spent a lot of time training to get most of my non-combat stats to 70+ and work on my total level; I have been trying to get into combat a lot more so I've been working on my combat stats for a little bit too. Here my current stats so far.
As you can obviously tell, I'm very happy with the progress I have made. 2014 in my opinion has been a great year for Runescape; I have thoroughly enjoyed a lot of new content we have received this year and I'm very happy to end the year with a lot of gains and levels. I think 2015 will perhaps be the year where I will work on getting a lot more 99's and maybe work on possibly getting a max cape or possibly work on getting either: 120 Runecrafting, 120 Firemaking or 120 Woodcutting.
Now, moving on to RuneZone! I haven't exactly been entirely active around here like I used to be a few years ago, but this year has been pretty good. I will admit, this place has certainly changed a lot for me; there is so many new faces around here and a lot of my old friends have disappeared or went inactive, but there is still one reason why I'm still popping in and trying to get involved whenever I have the time - that is the community here. The site certainly has it's ups and downs, but I think the major reason why I'm still around is because of the community spirit; I love how diverse and accepting the community is towards older and newer members around here. The friendships I have formed and developed over the past year has been very important to me - I still have and I'm still making some amazing friends who I consider family to me; they have been a major influence on me and have certainly helped me during times when I feel down about everything.
What do I expect for RuneZone in 2015? Honestly, I don't really know what to expect. One of the major things about this year I'm very disheartened about is the closure of RuneRadio - I never listened to it a lot, but I still have some amazing memories from it and It has been the most used used feature on this site; It seems to have made a mixed impact on the site, however one of the major things I'm rather looking forward to and interested in is the future of RuneZone. I don't know whether these changes will bring positive or negative effects, but one thing for certain is the community spirit will certainly never die - I just hope the community continues to be amazing next year and embrace change like I have tried too over 2014.
In terms of real life stuff, so much has happened to me over the past year! This year has been a year which I've been given a lot of opportunities to find out what I really want to do with myself and what career I would possibly like in the future. I'm incredibly proud of passing my GCSE exams because they have provided myself a massive confidence boost in regards to my work ethic and how I'm doing in Education. I'm now half-way through my first year in Six Form College studying English Literature, Ethics & Philosophy and History - subjects I've been enjoying a lot this year. All of that aside, this year hasn't exactly been perfect; as some of you are aware, I've been dealing with a lot of personal issues which I'm still dealing with today (which I won't be talking about here because I'd like to remain positive in this blog), although I suppose it's a good thing I've faced challenges - It's made me ten times a better person and I feel like I've become much stronger emotionally and mentally. I suppose this year has been a real wake up call for myself and a year which I've learned and developed as a person. Hopefully, in the future I will go to University to study English Literature; I think someday I will become a writer as English Literature is something I love with a passion.
Mike H - You're one of my best and closest friends here on RuneZone. I know sometimes I can really annoying and a pain at times, but I'm glad we're still friends. You always manage to cheer me up and make me feel happy, even when I feel incredibly low about life in general. You've just been there when I need to release my feelings and frustrations, it's something I appreciate a lot. It's really scary how we are so similar and how we think-a-like all the time. Thank you for being a great friend and a fantastic person. I certainly hope you have a great 2015.
Lizzy - You are THE most fabulous and THE most amazing singer ever. I'm so glad we're still great friends, I consider you like my sister! I'm also glad that you have been very supportive to me when I have been feeling really low - your advice has certainly been very helpful. You're a fantastic person and you have a great personality. I always enjoy talking to you on a daily basis and having some karaoke sessions with you on Teamspeak or on Skype. Cheers for everything and I certainly hope you have a very happy and exciting 2015.
Verhaert3 - We have been talking to each other quite a lot over the past two months or so. I'm really glad we became closer, you're pretty much one of my best friends here. I absolutely love talking to you - you're always so positive and you've made me smile when I feel down - I couldn't ask for anything better from you. Cheers for being such a fantastic person! Oh by the way, cheers for teasing me on Skype with chocolate and stuff....
I would also like to take the time to thank YOU guys and all the staff team for making RuneZone what it is today - a fantastic site and a community which I could consider family. #Zonersunite. Well, I guess that's pretty much it to be honest. All I can say to summarize my year is there been a lot of ups and downs, but overall it's been pretty great. I'm very much looking forward to 2015 and what there is to come for RuneZone, on Runescape and in my life. Cheers for reading this blog and I hope you all had a merry christmas and have a happy new year.

|I normally don't bother to make blogs although I thought I would make a blog just to reflect on my year on Runescape and on RuneZone rather than make a thread about it and mainly because I feel like making more blogs here on RuneZone since there barely any blogs made on this site these days (plus a few people seem to have made blogs similar to this so I may as well follow their steps and make one myself ).
I've been part of this site for two and half years now and I must say, it's never been a dull moment for me. I remember signing up to this day actually and I certainly remember looking around the site, that was really fun. I remember when I used to be heavily involved on the Forums and managed to get a lot of posts, I've always found the Forums here really good and I absolutely love to get involved within the community here; I've seen a lot of great threads and I still see some threads that intrigue me. Throughout my time here I've watched the site grow and grow into something wonderful - a site with a great atmosphere as if it's like Family; from gold to platinum to the supercharge update, It's been really good to see this site progress over the past year and that wouldn't happen without staff but most importantly you guys - the people who make my experience truly amazing.
I must admit, I've never been the most perfect person here on RuneZone and I've certainly had a lot of up's and downs over the past two and the half years but that doesn't really matter to me; sometimes I can be quite a pain (I must admit I'm probably rather annoying to some of you guys reading this lol) but I learn from mistakes to improve myself as a person but I would like to think I try to be nice to everyone. This year has been really good for me - I've made a lot of great friends who I can rely on and can offer support whenever I need it who have really helped me develop as a person and I hope I've managed to make a positive impact on themselves. Ive changed quite a lot - I've become more confident with myself and I think I've become a better forum-user. I hope despite the fact I've made some silly mistakes that I've made at least some impact on the community. (Not really sure if I have in any way though but meh lol)
This year has been rather mixed for me though, I did have a little bit of personal and real life issues (which I'd prefer not to go into details) but overall, It' been a pretty good positive year. I'm really looking forward to next year and I hope it'll be a good year as I'll be doing my GCSE exams then and hope to go to my school's six form college; I feel rather positive about future for me in real life.
Runescape - Been such a great year for me. I've made so much progress on account I now always play on (which i made exactly a year ago). Managed to get 4 99's and so I feel rather proud of my accomplishments; I'm normally not the person who aim's for 99s a lot as I like to play purely for fun and for friends but I feel a lot more determined to aim higher and go for a lot more 99's ever since I got 99 Divination. I don't think this could of happened without the wonderful RuneZone community who've supported me with my goals and some of my friends in game. Updates have been really good this year and so I really can't wait for next year - especially since the next new skill will be released then. (Which I plan on getting 99 in )
Whilst everyone here has been really good, I want to quickly mention a select few people who I feel like truly deserve recognition or have become really good friends of mine.
Freyja - Thanks for being such a lovely person, you are always kind and considerate and you're possibly one of my best and most closest friends here on RuneZone, cheers for everything and I'm certainly glad we became friends.
Simon - To be honest, this year we actually started talking to each other for once (yay teamspeak lol) and I just want to show appreciation to you for being a lovely guy, you truly do care about the community here and I've enjoyed talking to you.
Eggbrow (Rofl you're probably wondering why I'm even appreciating him) - Thanks for just making me and every body else laugh with your typical behaviour. You're a genuinely nice and hilarious person and I've absolutely enjoyed conversations I've had with you.
Everyone who uses RZ Teamspeak - Loved talking to every single one of you guys there, it's never a dull moment in teamspeak server and so many jokes have been started there. Keep being awesome guys!
All of the ambassadors - you're all great people and I've absolutely loved planning events with you guys and just talking to you about certain stuff. I can't wait to plan more events with you guys and I'm looking forward to seeing some more Ambassadors in the future.
I don't really have much to say atm as I'm half asleep so I will edit blog whenever I have spare time, but other than that, merry Christmas and hope you guys have a wonderful new year.
