Another Slice of H.A.M.
Description:
The dwarves are building a new underground rail link between their city of Keldagrim and the cave goblins' Dorgesh-Kaan, but work is being held up by the discovery of ancient goblin artifacts, and they need the help of a qualified archaeologist. Helping them out should be simple enough - unless you stumble upon another H.A.M. plot against the city.

Introduction

Make your way to Dorgesh-Kaan (Climb through the hole in Lumbridge cellar and right-click on Kazgar and click follow and then enter through the bone doors nearby) and walk into the city, then climb to the second floor and enter Ur-Tag's house to the north.

The Train Tracks

You will notice that Ur-Tag and Ambassador Alvijar are arguing; ask them what they are talking about and you will learn that a train route between Dorgesh-Kaan and Keldagrim is being constructed however the proceedings have been stopped because some goblin bones and artefacts have been discovered.

Head west and then south until you reach a doorway marked with an arrow on the minimap.

Go through the doorway and head south until you reach a group of goblins. Speak to Tegdak who will give you a trowel and specimen brush.

Use the trowel on the six artefacts lying around nearby, and then take them to the specimen table to clean them with the brush before returning them to Tegdak. He will be most interested with the ancient mace which is covered in symbols, and will suggest speaking to the Scribe who may be able to decipher them. Zanik will also come with you.

Head back towards Ur-Tag's house and next door is the council chamber in which the Scribe can be found. Unfortunately the Scribe cannot decipher the symbols but suggests going to speak to the generals in Goblin Village. Zanik doesn't fancy walking all the way to the surface and says Oldak may be able to teleport us. Head to the ground floor and go towards the northwest corner of the city near the bank.

Goblin Village

Talk to Oldak and he will make you a teleport sphere to Goblin Village, and a sphere to return to Dorgesh-Kaan.

Upon arrival at Goblin Village, speak to one of the generals and enjoy the cutscene that ensues. During this cutscene it is learned that the ancient mace takes away the Gods favour, and Grubfoot will also call Zanik the Chosen Commander, destined to lead the goblins to victory. The generals will then make Zanik talk infront of the village, and shortly after the village will come under attack.

You will then have to go find the attackers, however you must stay out of sight because you will be pushed back by a rain of magic and arrows, so go around the buildings and climb up the ladder. Attack the two H.A.M. warriors (level 30) with magic or ranged.

Once the H.A.M. attackers are killed, you will see Sigmund kidnapping Zanik. He will reveal to you that he plans to kill her in the tunnel that H.A.M. members have dug in the Lumbridge Swamp Caves. Sigmund will then disappear, and the generals will assign you two of their best warriors who will meet you in the Lumbridge Swamp to help you retrieve Zanik.

Make your way to the Lumbridge Caves which is the dungeon in the Lumbridge Swamp.

Sigmund

Talk to one of the goblins and they will offer to distract any guards that you may come across. Climb down the hole to enter the caves and then climb down the ladder nearby. A guard will see you and run off to get reinforcements. If these guards see you, they will throw you out into the caves and you will have to climb back down the ladder. Talking to the goblins gives the option of having them follow you, or having one or both wait where they are. Head to the first corner of the tunnel and tell both of the goblins to wait there and then go hide through the door inside the little room. Once the two guards are attacking the goblins, lure the remaining guards towards the goblins by hiding behind the crates. When all guards are being distracted by fighting the goblins, climb down the ladder at the end of the tunnel.

You will see Zanik tied to the train tracks, and then Sigmund will begin to attack you. Attack him until he is using a protection prayer, and then use the back hand ability with the ancient mace wielded on Sigmund to drain his prayer. Continue to attack him but he will teleport away before you can kill him.

Untie Zanik and the train will then drive by. You will then be invited to the grand opening of the Dorgesh-Kaan to Keldagrim train line.
