My name is Tom and I am 21 years old. Told you it would be tiny.
I am currently studying Education and Childhood Studies at university as my ambition for when I qualify is to become a primary school teacher (7-11 year olds). I am going into my second year in October (having found out recently I passed my 1st year). It is a 3 year course in total and I have to complete an additional year at the end of the course to have QTS (Qualified Teacher Status). It's been an extremely long road, but the end is in sight and I've got to keep my head down to achieve what I've wanted for so many years.
When not at university, I work as a support LSA (Learning Support Assistant) or a volunteer (when I'm not needed) in a special needs school. I have been working there for the past 4 and a half years voluntarily. This is because I am so passionate about the job and it's so rewarding seeing children achieve day in, day out.
Every Saturday, I work as a retail assistant in a shop. As you can see, I am an extremely busy guy. However I love to keep myself busy as I get bored easily; I always need something to do!
My main hobby I enjoy doing is table tennis. I am a captain of a team in my local town's league and thoroughly enjoy playing the sport. I train on Monday evenings and match nights can be on any weeknight (depending on the home team's preferred weeknight).
I also enjoy going to our pub's weekly quiz night with my family. It is kind of cemented into place that we attend each week and it is great fun. Plus it also tests my knowledge and I learn something new every week!
That's it for the time being. Is this a conclusion? No, because my life hasn't ended and there will sure be more things happening in the future! I'll continue to add information when it becomes relevant to.
