Dominion Tower

Introduction

Deep in the Desert many secrets await, one of these being a tower which seemingly has no end. This tower is called the Dominion tower and it is here that players are able to re-live battles from quests. Monsters the player has fought a long time ago are once again encountered in all their deadliness and glory in the depths of this tower. Defeating them is no small feat, but for those who manage this the rewards are great as well.

Getting There

The Dominion tower can be found in the north-eastern part of the Southern Desert, just north of Uzer. There are various ways of getting there quickly.

The easiest way is simply using a Dominion medaillon or Super Dominion medallion. This allows the player to teleport directly to the tower 3 times a day. This is obtained by talking to the Strange face in the Tower. It is recommended to do this on the player's first visit. To obtain this the player will need the requirements for fighting in the Tower as well though (see the Requirements section.

Another way to get there is by running east across the bridge from Shantay Pass. The player can easily get to Shantay Pass using a charged Amulet of Glory.

It is also possible to take an Eagle to the Desert Eagle lair, which is just north-east of the tower. This requires the quest Eagle's Peak to be completed.

Requirements

Interior

Ground Floor

The ground floor of the Dominion tower is the place where the player is able to prepare for oncoming battles and obtain their rewards. There are several interesting things on the ground floor.

  • 1: Stairs to the higher floors. These stairs can be used to enter battles or spectate. When the player tries to climb them they will get an interface with the several modes.
  • 2: The Strange face. This face is the NPC who explains about the tower and who also rewards the player for their efforts. There is some back story about him which the player can find out by collecting journal pages.
  • 3: Bank stall. Here the player can access their bank to prepare for the battles ahead.
  • 4: Reward boxes. At these boxes the player can spend their Dominion factor to obtain rewards such as items which help the player in the tower, various types of ammo and bones and XP books which can be used on combat skills.
  • 5: Scoreboard. On the scoreboard the player is able to see the achievements of others before them. The scoreboard displays the floor other players reached, the boss they fought on that floor and the Dominion factor they won.

Arenas

If the player climbs the stairs and either spectates or fights a battle they will find themselves on a floor which is composed of 4 parts. The first part is where the player who will fight the battle arrives. There is nothing there except from stairs to go back down and leave and a gate to enter the main section. If they go through the gate they will find themselves in a large arena where their opponent awaits. Depending on which boss they will fight there can be pillars in the arena or not. They will also see another gate. They can't enter either of the gates until they have defeated their opponent.

After they have defeated their opponent they are able to go through the next gate. There they will find themselves in an area with a bank chest, rewards chest, stairs to go up and a hook to go back down to the main lobby. In endurance mode the player is unable to use the bank chest, if they go down the hook in endurance mode they will be unable to go back to their current progress and will have to start over.

If a player chose to spectate they will find themselves on the sides of the arena. Here they will find several eyes which can be used to view the main arena from different angles. They will also find stairs to go back down or go up.

Modes

There are several modes the player can choose when they attempt to climb the stairs. Each of these modes has their own special rules and limitations. Below are the several modes explained.

Climber Mode

In climber mode the player will randomly fight monsters after each other. They are able to bank after each battle, but they also get assigned a new handicap every battle. These handicaps will stack so each consecutive floor they will have more handicaps. There are 22 handicaps in total and the player will need to have experienced each of them once to unlock the Dominion sword. Climber mode is the easiest way to get Dominion factor. If the player dies during a battle in this mode they will receive less Dominion factor, so it is advised to leave if they are about to face an opponent which they might not be able to defeat. The gear that is advised depends on the boss they encounter.

  • Reduced Melee Attack:The player will deal less damage with melee attacks.
  • No Shield:The player is unable to equip a shield. If they have one equipped this will go into their inventory or bank.
  • No Food:The player is unable to use food or other methods of healing.
  • Reduced Melee Defence:The player will take more damage from melee attacks.
  • Random Freeze:The player will sometimes be unable to move or attack for a few seconds.
  • Halved Hitpoints:The player will start the battle with half their hitpoints.
  • No Body Armour:The player is unable to wear body armour. If they enter the battle with any equipped it will go into their inventory or bank.
  • Reduced Range Attack:The player will deal less damage with range attacks.
  • No Familiar:The player is unable to summon a familiar. If they have one summoned it will be removed.
  • Monster Stun:The monster will be stunned at the beginning of the battle for a few seconds. During this time it will not move or retaliate.
  • No Prayers:The player is unable to use prayers during the battle
  • Slippery Fingers:Every few moments the player their weapon will unequip itself into the player their inventory. This can be stopped by keeping a full inventory at all times.
  • Reduced Magic Attack:The player will deal less damage with magic attacks.
  • Reduced Adrenaline Gain:The player will gain adrenaline at a reduced rate.
  • No Ultimate Abilities:The player can't use any ultimate abilities.
  • Reduced Magic Defence:The player will take more damage from magic attacks.
  • Random Daze:The player will stop what they were doing every few seconds. The player can immediately go back to what they were doing after the daze.
  • Poison:The player will start the battle with poison.
  • Reduced Range Defence:The player will take more damage from range attacks.
  • No Power-ups:The player is unable to use any of the power-ups received as a reward from the tower.
  • No Potions:The player can't use any potions.
  • Life Saver:When the player gets damaged by a hit that would normally kill them, instead they will get healed back to full health. This only applies once per battle.

Endurance Mode

In endurance mode the player will randomly fight monsters after each other as well. Here the player will not receive handicaps though, but they are also not able to use the bank box after each battle. This means they can only take one inventory and possibly a beast of burden full of items. The advised gear for this mode is shown below.

Special Mode

In special mode the player has to fight a certain combination of monsters or with special rules or certain handicaps. These can make the fights considerably harder then fighting the bosses in climber mode. Below is a list of all the special matches and a way to clear them.

Revenge of the Evil Chickens

  • Opponents: 15 Evil Chickens
  • Handicaps: No Prayers
  • Reward: 1780 Dominion factor

Strategy:This fight is not too difficult since the player is able to bring food. The chickens are level 110 and seem weakest to magic attacks. If the player does not have the quest The World Wakes it can be useful to bring a shield to use the Rejuvenate ability. Otherwise the player can use the Guthix's Blessing ability to heal. Once the player enters the arena they can either try to line up all the chickens so they only have to fight one at a time, or they can keep running around as the chickens only attack within melee distance.

Finish Him!

  • Opponents: Black Knight Guardian, Arrav, Koschei the Deathless, General Khazard, The Kendal, Golem Trio
  • Handicaps: No Prayer, Reduced Melee Defence, Reduced Range Defence, Reduced Magic Defence, Poison, No Ultimate Abilities, Random Daze, No Power-ups, Opponents 20% of their normal health.
  • Reward: 1600 Dominion factor

Strategy:This fight should not prove a challenge either. Make sure to bring a stab, slash and crush weapon to defeat the golems. Using magic on the other monsters is advised as they all use melee, so magic armour will provide the best defence.

Just Die Already

  • Opponents: 6 Dagannoth sentinels
  • Handicaps: None
  • Reward: 1650 Dominion factor

Strategy:This fight can be difficult if the player does not pay attention. Similar as during the normal fight the Dagannoths will heal the Dagannoth next to them. So the player has to make sure they attack the ones next to the one they are actively attacking occasionally. They do not heal the ones in front of them though. Balmung is highly effective for this fight. If the player has soul split this will negate most damage taken. If the player does not have soul split it is advised to take a few pieces of food.

No More Nomad... No More!

  • Opponents: 2 Nomads
  • Handicaps: None
  • Reward: 2930 Dominion factor

Strategy: This fight can either be relatively easy or quite difficult depending on the gear the player has at their disposal. The player does not have to fight 2 Nomads at once, but they will have to fight one after another. For more information on how to defeat Nomad see the bosses section. The key to surviving in this fight is to make sure to bring enough food, if needed in the form of help horns since these carry multiple pieces of food in one slot.

I Eat Dagannoths For Breakfast

  • Opponents: Dagannoth Mother version 1, Dagannoth Mother version 2, 2 Dagannoth Sentinels
  • Handicaps: None
  • Reward: 1940 Dominion factor

Strategy: This fight is not too difficult if the player has decent gear. The player will need a ranged weapon, all elemental runes and a staff. Balmung will be provided in the arena for use as well. It is advised to either bring good gear for all styles or hybrid gear since the player will need to use all styles against the Dagannoth mothers. Bring a decent amount of food is also advised. Begin by attacking Dagannoth mother 2 with Balmung and then pay attention to her colour and use the style needed to damage her. Once she is dead kill Dagannoth mother 1 in a similar way, after that simply kill the Dagannoth sentinels off.

Indigestion

  • Opponents: Agrith-Na-Na, Flambeed, Dessourt, Karamel, Gelatinnoth Mother and Culinaromancer.
  • Handicaps: No-Shield, No Power-ups, Reduced Melee Defence, Reduced Magic Defence, Reduced Range Defence, No Familiar, No Body Armour, No Ultimate Abilities.
  • Reward: 1500 Dominion Factor

Strategy: This might be one of the hardest special challenges. Make sure to bring a lot of food, good armour, and a good melee weapon with you, it is also advised to bring all elemental runes and a ranged weapon for the Gelatinnoth mother.. First attack Karamel as she will otherwise drain your stats, use either the Protect from Magic prayer or soul split. Once she is dead your next target should be the Gelatinnoth mother, kill her off quickly and then attack the Culinaromancer. Once he is dead it is advised to kill off Flambeed and Agrith-Na-Na next and then finally kill Dessourt. Make sure to keep your lifepoints quite high at all times as you can take a lot of damage at once.

You'll Never Defeat Me!

  • Opponents: The Inadequacy, Doubts, The Everlasting, The Illusive, The Untouchable
  • Handicaps: Reduced Melee Defence, Reduced Range Defence, Reduced Magic Defence, Reduced Melee Attack, Reduced Range Attack, Reduced Magic Attack, No Shield, No Body Armour, No Potions, Random Daze, Halved HP, No Prayers, No Food, No Familiar
  • Reward: 875 Dominion factor

Strategy: In this challenge the player has to survive 5 minutes in the arena, or kill all opponents. This is considerably easier then it might appear since the player can still bring in a weapon. As long as the player stays near the gate none of the actual bosses are able to damage the player, this is because The Inadequacy is unable to move and the other bosses are stuck behind him. He will summon doubts which the player should not have too much trouble killing, if they want they can attack all other bosses and kill those off, or simply stay near the entry gate for the next few minutes to complete the challenge.

Hey! Eat Power-Up

  • Opponents: Solus Dellagar, Delrith, Count Draynor, Melzar the Mad, Sigmund, Tarn Razorlor, Draugen, The Kendal, Tumekens Shadows, Culinaromancer, Elvarg, Treus Drayth
  • Handicaps: Can't wear any items, Not able to equip any items in the arena (except items required to defeat certain bosses), Power-ups found through out the arena, Bomb strength improved.
  • Reward: 695 Dominion factor

Strategy: For this challenge the player can't use any weapons or armour to defeat several low level bosses. To kill all bosses they will have to pick up bombs which spawn in the arena. Colossal bombs will hit all enemies in the arena, Massive bombs will hit all bosses near the player and Dimunitive bombs will only damage bosses directly next to the player. Bringing a high amount of food is highly recommended to complete this fight. Once in the arena first pick up and use all colossal bombs, these should be your first priority, when they respawn immediately pick them up and use them. Keep a close eye on your lifepoints and repeat this. Once several bosses are dead the player can choose to start using Massive bombs as well, repeat this until all bosses are dead.

The Fire! It Burns!

  • Opponents: Sunfreet
  • Handicaps: No Power-ups, No Familiars, No Ultimate Abilities, No Prayers
  • Reward: 4250 Dominion factor, Cosmetic boost to Dominion Marker

Strategy:The Sunfreet is maybe one of the most difficult monsters in Dominion tower. He possesses 2 phases, one where he is flying and you have to dodge fire raining from the sky, the other being on the ground where you can actually attack him. He has no weakness and 2 special attacks which he will use through out his ground phase.

Air Phase

In the Air Phase, Sunfreet will rain fire from the sky, these fireballs will land in the arena and damage the player for about 500 damage every second. If the player stands in the spot where the fire lands they will most certainly die, several spots are free though and the location of the fire follows a pattern. Below the regions where the fire lands is marked in red and the safe area in blue. As soon as you see the fire vanishing immediately run towards the safe area.

Ground Phase

During the Ground Phase the player will be able to fight and damage the Sunfreet. He will use high hitting melee and magic attacks in this phase as well as 2 special attacks. The first special attack involves him charging and then growling at the player, if the player does not turn away from the Sunfreet they will get hit by this attack and will be stunned. The second attack involves the Sunfreet charging again, but this time he will swing his tail at the player and hit them for very high damage if they do not either run away, or use an ability such as resonance. If the player uses resonance this attack will instead heal them for a rather high amount of lifepoints. The sunfreet has no weaknesses so there is no real preference for which style is better to use, this being said he will only use his melee attack if the player is in melee range. If the player uses either magic or range they also don't have to worry about the tail swipe attack.

Freestyle Mode

In Freestyle mode the player decides the rules, they can pick which boss they want too fight and with which handicaps. This can be useful when a player can't get past a particular boss in Endurance or Climber mode, or just for a fun battle against a boss of their choice.

Spectate

Spectate allows the player to view another player their fights, this can be either a random player or a friend of them. When they pick this option they will find themselves on the outer ring of the arena. Here they can find several viewing eyes which allow them to see the arena from different points of view.

Bosses

In the Dominion tower there are 48 bosses in total, divided into 8 classes depending on how difficult they are, these are Class A-H where Class A is the hardest. Listed below will be information about each boss and a strategy on how to defeat them. The bosses can be found in their respective classes.

Class A

Nomad

  • Quest Requirement: Nomad's Requiem
  • Combat Level: 200

Strategy:Nomad can be extremely difficult to defeat as most of his attacks can kill the player in one hit, however the attacks can be nullified or avoided. The key to defeating Nomad is by knowing his pattern of attacks, how they look like, and how to react to them.
His regular attack is a high-hitting classless attack. While he can hit the player from a distance, he will move to melee distance at the start of the fight.
His first special attack consists of him dropping mines around the player, if the player steps on one of these mines they can suffer high amounts of damage and will almost certainly kill the player. The trick of avoiding this attack is to immediately run south when the player sees the mines appearing. After running south, hide behind a pillar for a few moments to lure Nomad away from the mines. Continue the fight afterwards.

He will launch his second special attack shortly after the mines have appeared. This attack will hit the player for a very high amount of damage if it is not avoided, most likely killing the player in the process. Luckily this attack can be dodged quite easily. Once Nomad teleports himself to the center of the arena immediately stand behind one of the pillars, wait for Nomad to fire his attack and runs toward the player again, then simply go back to continue fighting him. The mines he dropped earlier will disappear as well.

For his third special attack Nomad will create three clones of himself. These clones will all attack and damage the player as well so it'™s important to get remove all of them as quickly as possible. Once the player attacks one of the clones it will disappear automatically, but if the player attacks the real Nomad all clones will disappear at once. It is possible to detect which Nomad is the real one because the real Nomad attacks a fraction of a second later then his clones do. Attack that Nomad and continue fighting him as usual.

His fourth special attack is possibly his most deadly attack since this cannot be avoided and can only be nullified if the player times it at the exact right moment. This attack consists of Nomad freezing the player in the center of the arena before charging up an attack that will hit the player for their max lifepoints minus 1. The player can now choose 2 things to avoid getting killed by this attack, their first option is to immediately eat food and heal up to max health. This way the player will not get killed but this can require a large amount of food since they will get damaged back to 1 lifepoint afterwards. The other method to not die will not require any use of food, but it is trickier to pull off. For this method the player will need to equip a shield as soon as they are frozen and then use the freedom ability. Once they used the freedom ability they have to pay close attention to Nomad and once they see him being almost finished with the attack, use the Resonance ability. This ability will completely block the damage taken from the attack, but as it is only active for 6 seconds the ability will need to be correctly timed. Once the player has either healed back up or avoided getting damaged they can simply go back to fighting Nomad and he will restart his cycle again, beginning with the mines a few moments later.

Once the player gets Nomad down to 25% of his health he will heal himself back up to 50%. He will only do this once so simply keep attacking him while paying attention to the special attacks. Once the player gets Nomad down to 25% again he will switch to berserk mode. In this mode he will stop using special attacks and begins uses a very rapid high hitting melee attack. Keep paying attention to your lifepoints while continuing to fight Nomad. Lastly but also not unimportant, make sure to not hide behind pillars too long as this will cause Nomad to shout 'œFace me' before fully healing himself a few moments later.

Nomad can be killed quite fast if the player uses dual wielding melee with chaotics or up and has good armour such as Bandos armour or better. If they are able to use the Soul Split curse, then they can survive using little to no food in combination with dual wielding melee as this will heal them quite a lot. Bringing a shield is highly advised as well for the max lifepoints minus 1 attack. Bringing a beast of burden filled with food or a unicorn stallion will make this fight considerably easier as well.

Pest Queen

  • Quest Requirement: The Void Stares Back
  • Combat Level: 140

Strategy: Much like Nomad the Pest queen can be either extremely difficult or relatively easy, depending on how much attention the player pays. The Pest queen will normally use high hitting melee and magic attacks, but with decent gear these will often not hit. It is highly advised to use melee because the Pest queen has a special attack which can only be blocked using Korasi's sword.

The first part of the battle is just regular combat with the Pest queen, at some point the player will see knights and rangers coming into the battlefield, who will also attack the pest queen. After a while the Pest queen will summon an Elite defiler though, who will start attacking the Rangers. It is very important the player attacks this defiler to distract it from the rangers. One of the player their top priorities is too make sure these rangers do not die.

Another few moments later the Queen will also start summoning unattackable Pest drones. At the same moment as she summons these Drones she will start charging her special attack, if this attack is not prevented it will damage the player and the knights and rangers for about 4000-5000 lifepoints, instantly killing the knights and rangers. This attack can be prevented though by equipping Korasi's sword and then using the backhand ability against the Queen. This will make her stop charging the attack and make her fall back into regular combat.

The reason it is so important that the Queen does not use this attack is related to the rangers. These rangers are the only things in the arena that are able to attack and kill the drones. Every few moments the drones will heal the Queen for a rather high amount, so if these drones are not killed it is near impossible to kill the Queen before running out of resources.

Because of the importance of using Korasi's sword in combination with the backhand ability it is highly advised to use melee to fight the queen. Bringing another weapon is not needed but will speed up the fight as the sword is not extremely powerful. If the player is able to use soul split they will not need a lot of food. If the player is unable to it is advised to bring a decent amount of food, and possibly a beast of burden filled with food as well.

Decaying Avatar

  • Quest Requirement: Nomad's Requiem
  • Combat Level: 140

Strategy: This gigantic monster is not as difficult as he may seem if the player pays attention. He uses a fairly accurate melee attack and will spawn roots at 75%, 50% and 25% of his lifepoints. If he reaches these roots before the player destroys them he will eat from them and heal back to full health. However if the player destroys those roots the battle will be fairly short. A good way to fight him is using magic, he seems to be weaker to this compared to other combat styles. Use the abilities Impact and Asphyxiate as often as possible to stun the Avatar. Once you see a root spawn run directly to it and destroy it, the first root will spawn in the North-west part of the arena, the second in the North-east and the final root in the South-western part.

Monkey Trio

  • Quest Requirement: Do No Evil
  • Combat Level: Leeuni-135, Ayuni-140, Eruni-145

Strategy: Due to the arena these monkeys are fought in this boss is not as difficult as it may seem. It is highly recommended to use magic or range to make this battle easier. Start off by running to one of the pillars to block off the bosses. This will lure Ayuni who is able to teleport close to the player, kill her while staying in the cover of the pillar, her special ability is to drain prayer but she is fairly weak and can be stunned.

Once Ayuni is dead run east towards the next pillar to lure the second monkey, Leeuni. She is able to remove the player their helmet, and if she is unable to do that she will hit the player by quite a lot, therefore it is advised to have at least one free inventory spot for your helmet. Aside from that she is quite weak as well and can also be stunned, kill her off while keeping in the shadow of a pillar so that the last monkey is unable to attack you.

Eruni is the last monkey, and is unable to move from her spot. Her special ability is that she can create a shield around her which protects her from all damage. This shield is powered by the lesser demons she summons, to destroy the shield kill the lesser demons. She will first summon one demon, then once you get her down to 75% she will summon 2, at 50% she will summon 3 lesser demons and at 25% health remaining she will summon 4 demons. It is advised to kill these while hiding behind a pillar so that Eruni is unable to attack the player.

Zenevivia

  • Quest Requirement: Love Story
  • Combat Level: 136

Strategy: Zenevivia can either be quite difficult or quite easy. Using melee is advised since then the player is able to use the Kick ability which makes this fight a lot easier. Simple start of by attacking Zenevivia until she teleports onto one of the pedestals, one she is on one attack her and use the kick ability, this will kick her off the pedestal which will allow the player to regularly attack her. Keep repeating this for all the pedestals until she dies. Using soul split will negate the damage she deals almost fully, if the player does not have this prayer available using protect from magic will still make the fight a lot easier, the player can bring a few pieces of food but this might not always be necessary.

Dagannoth Mother (Version 2)

  • Quest Requirement: Blood Runs Deep
  • Combat Level: 146

Strategy:For this fight the player will need to bring all combat styles and all elemental runes. If the player pays close attention to the chatbox and the colour of the Dagannoth mother this battle should not be too difficult. To start off pick up the Balmung which is available in the arena and attack her with it. She will after a few hits switch to another mode. Below is listed which colour requires which combat style.

  • Green=Range
  • Orange=Melee
  • Red=Fire Spells
  • Brown=Earth Spells
  • Blue=Water Spells
  • White=Air Spells

Class B

The Untouchable

  • Quest Requirement: Dream Mentor
  • Combat Level: 140

Strategy: This boss might have an intimidating name but he is quite easy. This monster has no special attacks or other tricks up it's sleeve. It attacks with basic melee attacks and seems particularly weak to magic attacks. If the player uses stunning/binding abilities they can defeat this boss without taking any damage themselves.

Desert Treasure Guardians

  • Quest Requirement: Desert Treasure
  • Combat Level: Dessous-120, Fareed-120, Damis-120 and 124, Kamil-126

Strategy: These 4 guardians might seem intimidating if you have to fight all of them at once, but this is not absolutely true. The player can line them up so they only have to fight one at a time. These bosses are all particularly weak to magic, so using magic is highly advised. To defeat Fareed the player will have to bring ice gloves, since he will otherwise unequip the player's weapon. If the player does use magic they will have to bring water and fire runes as well as air runes, this is because Fareed can only be harmed with water magic and Kamil only with fire spells. It is advised to kill Kamil as soon as possible because he is able to drain the player their stats.

The Everlasting and The Illusive

  • Quest Requirement: Dream Mentor
  • Combat Level: The Everlasting-134, The Illusive-126

Strategy: These two bosses are fairly easy even though the arena is multi combat. The Illusive will almost immediately dig and not attack the player, so they don't have to worry about him at first. The Everlasting is rather resistant to melee and range attacks, but his defence against magic attacks is considerably lower so this is the advised combat method. If the player uses stunning abilities they can defeat The Everlasting without taking damage.

After The Everlasting is dead the player will have to kill The Illusive, he is not particularly strong but will dig every few seconds. For this boss magic is also recommended as it allows the player to deal more damage before he digs again.

Dagannoth Sentinels

  • Quest Requirement: Blood Runs Deep
  • Combat Level: 138

Strategy: These 2 Dagannoths can be defeated rather easily if the player pays attention. Balmung, which is obtained from Blood Runs Deep, is highly effective against them and will finish them off quite quickly. When one of the Sentinels is on low health the other one will heal it. The only way to prevent this from happening is by attacking both of them in turns. If the player does this, the Sentinels won't heal each other and they will die rather quickly.

Karamel and Gelatinnoth Mother

  • Quest Requirement: Recipe For Disaster
  • Combat Level: Gelatinnoth Mother-130, Karamel-200

Strategy: This fight is a bit difficult since Karamel will rapidly drain the player their stats. Make sure to bring all elemental runes and a melee weapon. First attack Karamel using a melee weapon, make sure to attack her everytime after she used her freeze attack since this will interrupt combat. Once Karamel is dead attack the Gelatinnoth mother, her colour pattern determines her weakness, this is similar to the colour pattern of the Dagannother mother.

Nezikchened

  • Quest Requirement: Legends' Quest
  • Combat Level: 120

Strategy: This demon is about the same strength as any regular black demon, it uses magic attack while at a distance and melee attacks up close. The player can use any style they prefer to defeat this demon as his defence is quite low

Class C

Balance Elemental

  • Quest Requirement: While Guthix Sleeps
  • Combat Level: 146

Strategy: This elemental being is rather much stronger then his class would suggest. He uses all 3 attack styles, has a special attack which will drain the prayer their stats and a relatively high defence level. His weakness depends on what combat style he is using himself so it is important to bring all 3 combat styles. If the player only wants to bring one style this is possible as well by making sure the Elemental stays in the form they are strong against. The Elemental will shift his combat form depending on what the player prays, if the player prays melee he will either switch to magic or ranged etc, if the player however prays ranged for example while the elemental is using melee, he will stay in his melee form. This allows the player to mage him most of the battle.

His melee form is visible by the Elemental wielding a giant stone club which he will swing at the player. He will only switch to this form if the player is in direct melee range.

The ranged form of the Elemental is most visible by the giant bow he will wield.

The magic form of the Elemental is characterised by the water spikes that appear out of the Elemental's head.

The Elemental will use his special attack every 5th attack. This is a stat draining magic attack which can be blocked by the protect from magic prayer. The Elemental will only switch forms after he used this attack.

Jungle Demon

  • Quest Requirement: Monkey Madness
  • Combat Level: 100

Strategy: This demon his low combat level makes him quite the easy boss. He will use magic and melee attacks depending on what the player is praying, he seems particularly weak to magic attacks to it is advised to pray magic, run up to him in melee distance and kill him using magic attacks.

Arrav

  • Quest Requirement: Curse of Arrav
  • Combat Level: 180

Strategy: Arrav is weaker then his combat level suggests and can be killed without taking any damage at all. He only has 4875 lifepoints and is quite weak to magic attacks. If the player uses stunning abilities they can defeat him without taking any damage, at 300 lifepoints a small bit of conversation will arise which the player has to go through to end the battle.

Ice Demon

  • Quest Requirement: Temple at Senntisten
  • Combat Level: 140

Strategy: This demon is a bit more difficult then other monsters in this class. He uses magic freezing attacks and rather accurate ranged attacks, in melee distance he will use melee attacks as well, he is slightly less resistant to range attacks. Using ranged therefor is highly advised as this will provide the best defence from his attacks as well as dealing msot damage.

The Inadequacy

  • Quest Requirement: Dream Mentor
  • Combat Level: 140

Strategy: Despite this boss it's impressive size he is not a major challenge. He will use ranged attacks at a distance and melee up close, he will also spawn several doubts which use low hitting melee attacks. The player can use any combat style they prefer as he has quite low hitpoints and defence, and is equally weak to all combat styles.

Giant Roc

  • Quest Requirement: My Arms's Big Adventure
  • Combat Level: 110

Strategy: This giant bird can be rather annoying, but not a major challenge. He will use range attacks at a distance, melee attacks up close and will occasionally flap it's wings which will push the player back a few squares and stun them. It is advised to use ranged or magic attacks to avoid having to run back up to the Roc after getting stunned.

Class D

Arrg

  • Quest Requirement: Troll Romance
  • Combat Level: 110

Strategy: This troll can be killed without the player taking any damage, it uses melee and range attacks, but will not use either until it got into melee contact. It is weakest to magic attacks, followed by melee, using ranged is not advised as it's defence against these attacks is rather high. If the player uses stunning abilities with magic they can defeat Arrg without taking any damage.

Barrelchest (Version 1)

  • Quest Requirement: The Great Brain Robbery
  • Combat Level: 104

Strategy: This monstrous being might look dangerous with it's huge size and it's heavy looking anchor, but it can also be killed fairly easily. The player can use their preferred style as he is equally weak to all styles. If the player keeps him out of melee distance using stunning abilities they can defeat him without getting any damage. If he does get in melee distance he will attack the player using a fairly inaccurate melee attack, which if it hits will also drain prayer and lower the player's defence.

Chronozon

  • Quest Requirement: Family Crest
  • Combat Level: 120

Strategy: This demon requires the player to hit it with all the blast spells before they are able to kill it. Because of this it is highly recommended to use magic the entire battle, he also only uses melee attacks so magic armour will provide the best defence from his attacks. First hit him with every blast spell, you can use abilities to stun him as well. Once you used all blast spells simply kill him as you would kill any monster.

Evil Chicken

  • Quest Requirement: Recipe for Disaster
  • Combat Level: 110

Strategy: This chicken uses only magic attacks but will only attack when she is in melee distance of the player. Despite being a magic user herself she is rather resistant to ranged and melee attacks but surprisingly vulnerable to magic attacks. It is advised to stun her using the Impact ability and safely mage her from a distance.

Dessourt, Agrith-Na-Na, Flambeed

  • Quest Requirement: Recipe for Disaster
  • Combat Level: Dessourt-132, Agrith-Na-Na-128, Flambeed-128

Strategy: This strange looking trio of edible monsters can prove to be rather tough if the player does not have a high defence level. Even though they all have a different weakness they are all vulnerable to all styles, the fact that 2 out of 3 bosses only use melee attacks makes using magic the recommended strategy. The player will need to wear ice gloves, because otherwise the heat from Flambeed will unequip the player's weapon. Start of by killing Dessourt as he poses the largest threat, once he is dead kill of Agrith-Na-Na, he only uses melee attacks so you can stun him to be safe. Once Agrith died as well simply use magic to defeat Flambeed, he will only use melee attacks and is the weakest out of the three bosses.

Giant Scarab

  • Quest Requirement: Contact!
  • Combat Level: 124

Strategy: This scarab will use both melee and ranged attacks, as well as summoning minions from all 3 sides of the combat triangle to attack the player. He is rather resistant to magic and melee, but his weakness against ranged attacks makes up for this. If the player stays out of melee range, he will only use ranged attacks which hit fairly low and inaccurate. This boss has high hitpoints so the fight might take a short while, a few pieces of food might be needed at lower levels.

Class E

Bouncer

  • Quest Requirement: Fight Arena
  • Combat Level: 110

Strategy: This hellhound only uses melee attacks, for this reason if the player can keep him out of melee distance they can kill him without taking any damage. He is particularly weak to magic attacks while having a decent defence against melee and ranged, using magic attacks is therefore recommended.

Koschei the Deathless

  • Quest Requirement: The Fremennik trials
  • Combat Level: None

Strategy: Koschei the Deathless does not have his name because he has never been defeated before, but instead because he seemingly won't die. The player will have to fight him 4 times, every time they kill him he will go into another form which is a little bit stronger then the previous form. All these forms will only use basic melee attacks except for the last form, in this form he will drain the player their prayer as well. If the player uses magic attacks and the Impact ability he should pose no threat though.

Arzinian Avatar

  • Quest Requirement: Between a Rock
  • Combat Level: 80

Strategy: The player will face the magic form of the Avatar, who will attack the player with fire spells and is weak to ranged. Because of the Avatar's low combat level all combat styles will be effective though.

The Black Knight Titan

  • Quest Requirement: Holy Grail
  • Combat Level: 40

Strategy: This boss his combat level is extremely low, which is also visible in his defence level. The player can use their preferred style to defeat him.

General Khazard

  • Quest Requirement: Fight Arena
  • Combat Level: 120

Strategy: General Khazard certainly does not live up to his title as he is fairly weak, after the player defeats his first form though, he will transform into a gigantic version of himself who is still quite weak. Using magic is the most effective way to quickly deal with the General.

Black Knight Guardian

  • Quest Requirement: A Void Dance
  • Combat Level: 110

Strategy: This knight is not too strong, but has the nasty habit of healing himself using the player their prayer points if he gets into melee distance. He is extremely weak to magic so using magic with stunning abilities is recommended to make this a short fight.

Class F

Dad

  • Quest Requirement: Troll Stronghold
  • Combat Level: 110

Strategy: Despite this trolls huge size and the massive tree he uses as a club he is rather easily defeated. He uses only melee attacks and is able to use an attack which hits through prayer and pushes the player a few squares back. He is weak to magic attacks and can be killed rather fast with these.

Dramen Tree Spirit

  • Quest Requirement: The Lost City
  • Combat Level: 90

Strategy: During the quest this boss monster might pose a small challenge due to not being able to wield weapons, but here in the Dominion tower the player is not limited by this. Her lifepoints are rather low and her defence is also not remarkably high, the player can use their preferred style to kill her.

Agrith-Naar

  • Quest Requirement: Shadow of the Storm
  • Combat Level: 120

Strategy: This demon uses rather high hitting magic and melee attacks, as well as being able to teleport the player close to itself. The final blow on this demon has to be dealt with the sword Silverlight, which can be found in the arena. He is weaker to melee then ranged or magic so using that is recommended.

Dagannoth Mother (Version 1)

  • Quest Requirement: Horror from the Deep
  • Combat Level: 120

Strategy: The first version of the Dagannoth Mother is considerably easier then the second. With a rather low amount of defence and a close to non existing defence she will die fairly fast if the player uses the right combat style. They will need a melee, ranged and magic weapon, as well as all elemental runes to quickly kill the Dagannoth Mother.

  • Green=Range
  • Orange=Melee
  • Red=Fire Spells
  • Brown=Earth Spells
  • Blue=Water Spells
  • White=Air Spells

TokTz-Ket-Dill

  • Quest Requirement: TokTz-Ket-Dill
  • Combat Level: 92

Strategy: TokTz-Ket-Dill is quite low level and does not pose too much of a threat, as long as the player comes well prepared. First the player will have to break through it's stone armour plates, for this the player will need to use a pickaxe, which can be found in the arena. Once they broke it's stone armour it can only be damaged either by crush style melee weapons, or by magic attacks, ranged attacks or other style melee attacks will have no effect at all.

Black, Grey and White Golems

  • Quest Requirement: Spirits of the Elid
  • Combat Level: 110

Strategy: These three golems are not particularly strong, but their defensive capabilities are incredibly high if the player does not use the correct style. The player will need a slash, crush and stabbing weapon to defeat all of them easily. The Black Golem is weak to crushing attacks, the White Golem is weak to stabbing attacks and the Grey Golem to slashing attacks. Using other styles then these is possible but will take a lot more time.

Class G

Treus Dayth

  • Quest Requirement: Haunted Mine
  • Combat Level: 95

Strategy: This cowardly ghost has the annoying habit of trying to run away when his health gets low, aside from that he is accompanied by 3 possessed pickaxes. He does not have a lot of lifepoints or a high defence though so is not too difficult, the player can use their preferred combat style.

Elvarg

  • Quest Requirement: Dragon Slayer
  • Combat Level: 90

Strategy: As long as the player has something to protect them from the dragonfire Elvarg is not a major threat either. She is rather weak so the player can use their preferred style to defeat her rather easily.

Culinaromancer

  • Quest Requirement: Recipe for Disaster
  • Combat Level: 140

Strategy: Despite the vicious meat cleaver the Culinaromancer wields he only uses magic attacks, which are rather inaccurate and weak. He seems particularly weak to ranged attacks, although his low defence and lifepoints allow other styles to be used as well.

Tumeken's Shadow

  • Quest Requirement: Missing My Mummy
  • Combat Level:60, 70, 80, 90, 100

Strategy: The player will have to fight all 5 versions of Tumeken's Shadow at once. These shadows are quite weak so even though it's multi combat they do not form a major threat, the player can use their preferred combat style.

The Kendal

  • Quest Requirement: Mountain Daughter
  • Combat Level: 70

Strategy: The Kendal is little more then a man in a bear costume, and his strength reflects that. His defence is quite low and his lifepoints few, the player can use any combat style to defeat him.

Draugen

  • Quest Requirement: The Fremennik Trials
  • Combat Level: 96

Strategy: This ghostly viking is quite weak, uses only basic melee attacks and is extremely weak to magic. All other styles are usable as well since he has only 4000 lifepoints.

Class H

Tarn Razorlor

  • Quest Requirement: Haunted Mine
  • Combat Level: 114

Strategy: Tarn Razorlor is a boss monster that aside from summoning 4 terror dogs at the start of the battle also has 2 forms. Once the player defeats Tarns first form he will warp and turn into a ghostly version of himself. Both these version are not exceptionally strong though and will pose no threat. They are weakest to magic, the first form of Tarn will use both ranged and melee, the second form uses only melee attacks.

Sigmund

  • Quest Requirement: Another Slice of H.A.M.
  • Combat Level: 94

Strategy: Sigmund is considerably weaker then his combat level suggest. The only special thing about him is the fact that he will use prayers against whatever combat style the player is using, the player can disable his prayers though by equipping the ancient mace, found in the arena, and using the backhand ability while having it equipped. This will disable Sigmund's prayers and allow the player to regularly kill him.

Melzar the Mad

  • Quest Requirement: Dragon Slayer
  • Combat Level: 56

Strategy: Melzar the Mad is exactly what his name suggests, his magic is mostly used for silly things such as spawning cabbages. Because of that he is as weak as his combat level suggests and should pose no threat to the player.

Count Draynor

  • Quest Requirement: Vampire Slayer
  • Combat Level: 40

Strategy: Count Draynor is extremely easy, as his combat level suggests, the player just has to remember to pick up the stake and hammer found in the arena, they can then attack and kill him like regular.

Delrith

  • Quest Requirement: Demon Slayer
  • Combat Level: 60

Strategy: Delrith is not very strong and rarely hits, but he has a high hitting special attack, the hit of this attack depends on the max lifepoints of the player. The player can only damage Delrith using the sword Silverlight, which is found in the arena. The player has to stay close to the priest also found in the arena, since he will shield the player from most of the damage from Delrith's special attack. Delrith uses this attack 4 times during the battle.

Solus Dellagar

  • Quest Requirement: Wanted!
  • Combat Level: None

Strategy: Solus Dellagar rightfully deserves his place in the Class H bosses as he is extremely weak, he will only use melee attacks and can be killed rather quickly using any combat style.
